  1. Thanks for the pics you guys. I had recently heard about the American Village in Japan, and it sounds intriguing. If I ever go to Japan, I would try it out. Would definitely like to see how basketball is played in the country as well. Hope Kansas wins tonight. I guess you guys might be watching online.

  2. Yeah, I'm going for Kansas too, even though I picked Kentucky in my work bracket. AFN (Armed Forces Network) which is our "cable" does a good job of playing the most watched sports games. We get about 7-8 channels via satellite and a couple of those plays sports.
American Village is interesting. It's not really what you would think it would be. There is, however, a Starbucks there... But mostly it's teens and twenty-somethings hanging out. But Elyce and I definitely get our fill of 1/2 price sushi at Kami Sushi when they have their half price sale at the end of the month!

  3. Good to hear, Reggie. I always wonder about American sports coverage in other countries. There is a lot of interest I believe but then I wonder do they understand the personalities of the American players. Stephon Marbury has found new life in China after being misunderstood in the US. I don't hear much about pro basketball in Japan. Will have to look that up as well as the AFN. It is always nice to see the pros giving love to the Armed Forces at the Super Bowl, boxing matches, etc. Many of the guys in the Armed Forces have serious game themselves. The leagues in the army, navy, etc. are super serious. Some real talent. I suppose the army plays against the navy at some point, etc.

I know that if I ever head to Japan, I will try American Village and also play golf. At the very least, those two things.

Kansas played well. Kentucky just had too much length ( sounds like you had a good shot at your bracket ). Scary thing is, they will be loaded again next year it looks like with their recruiting class.

Next up, let's hope Tiger can win this week. That would make my sports year.

    Talk to you guys later.
